Piven and AG Partner to Provide a New Workshop for Home Schoolers
Evanston, IL - The Actors Gymnasium and Piven Theatre Workshop have teamed up to create a workshop crafted especially for the social needs and education requirements of students who study outside the traditional education setting. The $50 workshop takes place September 7 from 12-3 pm, for students 4th through 8th grade. For more information and to enroll in the workshop, click here.
In an action-packed Piven workshop, students learn core improv exercises and theatre games designed to encourage creativity, self-expression, and truthfulness in the moment.
With The Actors Gymnasium students learn basic circus skills in silk knot, partner acrobatics, rolling globe, and more, exploring their creative movement, building courage, and developing community.
The three hour workshop uses the unique strengths of both organizations (and our convenient location together in the Noyes Cultural Arts Center) to make this a not-to-be-missed opportunity for homeschoolers to learn, explore the arts, and just plain have fun!
Piven Theatre Workshop is a nationally acclaimed training center and professional theatre. For over forty years, the Workshop has helped thousands of students celebrate play while finding their unique creative voice through the study of improvisation, theatre games, scene study, and story theatre.
The highly skilled instructors at The Actors Gymnasium create a non-competitive imaginative environment where kids can learn as much from each other as their teachers as they tackle circus and aerials arts, physical theatre and so much more.
