Master Workshop on Aerial Straps Offered

EVANSTON, IL - Due to a notable level of interest, The Actors Gymnasium (AG) will offer a master workshop on aerial straps taught by Javen Ulambayar in June.

Ulambayar graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2012 with a Kinesiology degree and an emphasis on clinical movement and science. During his high school and college years, he attended the circus school Circus Juventas in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he attained his skills in a variety of performing acts. His performances while in circus school included tumbling, teeterboard, jump rope, Chinese Pole, acro and Russian Bar. He specializes in aerial straps.

The straps workshop will focus on incorporating movements and techniques that develop strength, flexibility and endurance. Many moves are similar in nature to those seen on Men's gymnastic rings, though the pliable nature of straps allow for more moves than the rigid rings. Due to the advanced nature of the apparatus, previous aerial experience is required to take part.

The two hour workshop will take place on June 29 for students ages 16 and older. For more information and to enroll in the workshop, click here.
